The 25% non-refundable deposit is to secure your spot on our calendar. It protects the both of us by confirming your commitment to the project, which is important in managing our workload and availability.

The needs and requested scope of work will always vary between clients. All relevant factors such as the level of editing and turnaround are evaluated when determining the rate for each project.

Our goal is to provide flexibility to meet each author’s unique needs and transparency around the variables that influence pricing.

Here’s what’s included with most editing services!

• Follow-Up Questions: You are welcome to email us with questions about our edits or feedback for up to 30 days after delivery.

• A Follow-Up Session: Once you’ve had time to review and implement changes, we offer one complimentary follow-up session (a 1-hour voice call) to discuss your revisions and and answer any lingering questions you might have. This session is available to be booked within 60 days of delivery.

• A Second Pass of Edits: After you’ve completed your revisions, we also provide one pass of re-editing (‘a revision pass’) for the updated manuscript. To take advantage of this, please return your revised manuscript within 120 days of the original delivery date.

For any additional, extensive re-editing needs beyond this scope, services are available at an hourly rate.

If your plot feels messy or your characters feel 2D → get a Developmental Edit

If your sentences drag or your voice feels inconsistent → get a Line Edit

If you book is polished but needs a final sweep → get a Proofread for errors

Rest assured, we will always provide a recommendation of what we believe would serve your manuscript best after the sample edit. The final decision is would then be up to you!

We specialise in Romance, Thriller, Horror, and Crime/Mystery. However, we am open to most genres, including Fantasy. One exception would be Sci-Fi, as we am not as familiar with it and would not be comfortable with offering our services if we do not feel we would be the right fit.

As long as your story does not condone illegal activities, we are comfortable with any content, but a heads-up is always nice so we know what we’ll be working with. If you are not sure whether we would edit your work, please feel free to ask us!

Yes! In fact, we require sample edits (usually 1-2 chapters). This allows us to provide you with an accurate quote and ensures you’re comfortable with our editing style before we commit to working together.

The contract exists to protect *both* the Client and the Editor. It is also a document that sets out all the details of the work relationship to ensure no misunderstandings.

The simple answer is yes. Adjustments available will depend on our availability, but everything is discussable.
